The Macedonian Community of New Jersey hereinafter referred to as MCNJ, together with the biweekly-North American newspaper Makedonski Glas and the United Macedonian Diaspora announcing the 1st Annual Macedonian Festival in New Jersey.
Purpose
To commemorate the 16th anniversary of the independence of Macedonia from Yugoslavia, and the strong partnership between the United States and Macedonia.
When
2007 marks the 1st year of the Macedonian Festival in New Jersey, now a major community event.
Friday, September 14th, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Sunday, September 16th, from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Parking And Free Shuttle
Parking
Parking is available on side streets but avoid the no parking signs. We strongly recommend you take advantage of the FREE METRO shuttle running continuously throughout the festival.
Shuttle
METRO will shuttle from Garfield High School parking lot located at 500 Palisades Ave.
Free parking is available for shuttle passengers.
FREE shuttles will operate every 15 minutes on the following schedule:
Tentative Times:
5 – 10:30 pm, Friday, September 14
11 am – 10:30 pm, Saturday, September 15
12 noon – 6:30 pm, Sunday, September 16

“Best Festival Food” honors for the authentic Macedonian food and pastries prepared by community parishioners from recipes handed down over the centuries.

$3.00 (adults). Children 12 and under admitted free
Pre-sale Tickets
$15.00 – Includes admission and dinner plate with your choice of Macedonian Grill, Macedonian Salad and one drink.

The parade will be assembling at Macedonian Orthodox Church “St. Kiril and Metodijâ€, going down hill on Stevens Avenue (Cedar Grove), making a right on Main St. (Little Falls), then left on Notch Rd, continuing on Notch Rd, then right Rt. 46 East, then a right on River Drive (Garfield), followed by a left on Outwater Lane, followed by a right on Midland Avenue, and followed by a left on Elizabeth Street, ending at the Twentieth Century Park.
